Poverty: A Unique Passion (ARTICLES)
It is in darkness that you see the
light. It is in suffering that you value
tranquility. It is in poverty that you learn to appreciate wealth. It is in nothingness that abundance is
recognized. You can only value beauty
once you’ve experienced how it is to be ugly, because looks have become
subjective over time.
Ask anyone if he wanted to become
poor and a hundred percent of respondents would definitely answer in the negative. Who is crazy enough to dream of poverty when
everyone in this world covets wealth?
Why would you sleep in a small mattress cringed in a tattered blanket
when you can sleep in a cozy sofa-bed, with all the comforts of home? Yes,
religions talk about things of the spirit, but the flesh craves for what can
make life easier for the whole of humanity.
And really it feels good to be pampered while living in this world.
But my opinion would shock perhaps
the 95% of the readers of this post. I
tell you, the moment you start appreciating darkness, suffering, and poverty
that is the time you would have become human.
Appreciating even is not enough; you have to experience it. You read it right guys, “experience it”. Live with shanty-dwellers, mingle with
country folks, that way you would appreciate things you overlooked before.
Whether we like it or not, there
are things in this world mysterious enough to be explained. Most people are fetish but I want to see
clutter first before I clean everything up.
Why would you keep on cleaning places that are already clean? Why would
you keep on organizing something which is already orderly? Humans invented the
things that would ultimately kill them.
Going back to basics is the call of
the times.
